information
we believe that the web should be somewhere inherently useful and usable.
The internet is a powerful place for the expression of ideas, communication, information. But in too many places in the internet today, cookie-cutter web sites are regurgitating the same information in the same format back at users. At Quantum Imagery, we believe in creating applications that use the web to its full potential.
This means that the web sites and applications we develop will be easy for the end-user to use, and will be able to communicate clearly the ideas and concepts you have to share. We don't use templatized setups, so you can make sure that the finished product you receive will be custom-made for your needs and audience. To create any less is a disservice to you, ourselves, and the people who have built the internet into what it is today.
we believe that companies should stand for more than the almighty dollar.
What's that? A company who wants to stand for something other than profits? Yeah. While we need to pay our bills and plan for the future like you and everyone else, our difference lies in the fact that our goals go no farther. We are a small design firm, and intend to stay that way. There is a speed, flexibility, and efficiency that comes with small companies that gives them an edge over larger firms stuck in process meetings.
Efficiency aside, it's the responsible thing to do. That's why we'll only take on jobs that we'll enjoy, and that use our skills well. If you need a cookie-cutter web site, we'll refer you to someone better suited to your needs.
Finally, our focus allows us to do meaningful work for organizations that couldn't otherwise afford professional web services and applications. We're currently actively working with several organizations around the San Diego area, and normally, about one-fourth of the work we do is pro bono.
we believe your work should be your passion.
If you took our founder (or most of the people we work with), gave them a new job selling slinkys 8 hours a day, and watched their lives, you'd find every one of us coming home from the slinky job, firing up the computer, and coding, illustrating, and designing until the wee hours of the morning. It's sick, we know. But the truth is, even if we weren't paid to develop top-quality web applications, we'd still be doing it for fun.
What this means for you is that you'll get people who truly care about the work they create, and enjoy their jobs. That translates into better work, in shorter time -- A great deal for every one involved.
