Description: Quantum Imagery worked with teams at UCSD and UCSF to create stopsmoking.ucsf.edu. In the project, Quantum Imagery created the overall look and graphics for the site, redesigning the interface to make it easy to use, and effective. The flow of the site was restructured, making it easier for users to complete essential activities, and giving the researchers more consistent data.
After several months of work, the final result is a cutting-edge site committed to helping interested smokers kick the habit.
Technical Details: Interfacing with a site run on custom ASP code, Quantum Imagery created DHTML menus, JavaScript and Flash applications, and Dynamic Macromedia Generator Objects. This allowed UCSD and UCSF to present and display the daily data entered by users in a dynamic, compelling format.
Macromedia Generator was used to make the menus and interface elements date-specific, reacting to a site path designed to change over the course of eight weeks. Flash was used to add interactivity and audio to user "lessons", making it easy and fun for users to learn how to "Take back control of their lives".
